We jointly embarked on building a business plan that resulted in the first Black Owned Contract Blending Manufacturer in South Africa that truly represented sustainable transformation with its shareholders all being directly involved in the day to day running of the business. CBS was selected by the AVI board as the winners of a joint Corporate Social Investment project which provided startup capital. CBS is truly unique in that it combines the challenges of improving business costs and risks with embracing sustainable black economic transformation in a crucial area in the food manufacturing value chain.
